The purpose of this blog is to express and share all the things we love about Louisiana. There is much to love about Louisiana, whether it's food, music, history, culture, or the loving and hospitable people.
Agriculture is another aspect to love about Louisiana. Not only do we love eating our delicious cuisine, we know how to grow it, too.
One of the most important things we can do is combine knowledge of growing food for ourselves, our families, and our communities. I will talk a lot about permaculture, organic farming, and sustainable living, but growing our food will always be our primary focus, regardless of the growing method we choose.
I will be documenting and posting various projects I will be performing around the farm so that you may experience the good, the bad, and the ugly side of homesteading. I'm a learn-as-you-go kind of guy, so in many instances, I may be searching YouTube or Pinterest for inspiration, ideas, and instructions.
I am honored that you have chosen to stop by and check out our website. Over time, I hope you will decide to join our fantastic community and share your voice expressing all the reasons you love Louisiana and your gardening experiences with the rest of us. Your comments and suggestions are ALWAYS welcome and encouraged; this is the fuel that powers our blog.
Thank you for your encouragement, positive thoughts, and prayers. I hope that you will choose to become part of our family. Much work is needed around our homes, farms, and communities. If we all work together toward our shared goal of feeding ourselves and feeding the world, there is nothing that we cannot accomplish.
You are welcome to keep coming back here to see new content. However, a better option is to subscribe to my newsletter! You will get updates on new posts and special content that is only available to my subscribers.
