Who am I?

First and foremost, this website would not be possible without help from my wife and life partner, Mary Pat, and our son, Carter. They are my inspiration and world;

I'm Ben, proud to say I was born and raised in South Louisiana. Our state is unique, whether you're talking about the food, music, historic sites, or Creole and Cajun cultures. However, what makes Louisiana genuinely outstanding is its people. Louisianians wrote the book on southern hospitality. One of the primary goals of this blog is to celebrate life in Louisiana.

What is Loving Louisiana Life all about?

Loving Louisiana Life is a platform where people can gather as a community and share their stories about our lives in Louisiana. The stories I am going to share will include the trials and tribulations of running a duck farm while establishing a permaculture food forest.

Some say that Louisiana is three states in one. New Orleans, Acadiana, and North Louisiana have distinct peoples, cultures, histories, and traditions. However, these separate pieces sewn together form a beautifully rich tapestry like a quilt.
